·        The applicant must be either adopted or in the process of adoption.

·        Adoption compliance certificate: A child may be eligible for Australian Citizenship if the inter-country adoption is finalized outside Australia under the Hague Convention, or

·        a recognized bilateral arrangement.

·        Adoption could be full Hague adoption, international adoption finalized outside Australia/ Expatriate adoption, outside Australia under another country laws/ Domestic adoption onshore

·        Proof of good character will be required if the child is over 18.
