·        This visa allows Australian families to unite with their parents with less delay as compared to other aged parent visas.

·        If an applicant has applied for this visa, he cannot simultaneously apply for other aged parent visas.

·        This visa can be granted for either 3 or 5 years and can be renewed once.

·        Assurance of support will be required

·        Other health and character tests will be required since this visa allows stay for more than 12 months.

·        Applicant must be outside Australia at the time of application unless exempted.

·        One applicant per application, no additional applicant on one application.

·        Must provide evidence of sufficient funds to stay in Australia.

·        Adequate arrangements for health insurance during their stay is mandatory.

·        Applicant can be in or outside Australia at the time of the grant of this visa
