A visitor visa is a temporary visa that enables applicants to visit family, tour the country, or visit on a business term.
Cost: $150 per applicant; each applicant has to lodge a separate application
Eligibility
·Age: no age limit
·Identity: must have a valid travel document or passport
·Genuine purpose of visit: family sponsorship letters, business invitation letters, or a travel or tour itinerary. Risk assessments are done by the immigration department therefore, all papers must be genuine and reliable. (Further GTE is described in ministerial direction 69)
·Proof that you will return home before the expiry of your visa without violating any visa conditions.
·Finance: must have enough funds to afford his trip or other financial support must be provided by the sponsor.
For business visits documents may include but are not limited to:
·an invitation from an Australian organization hosting this visit / statement of purpose with enough evidence to prove a business-related activity
·conference registration details
·a letter from employer stating reasons for visit
·Complete itinerary stating your plans for your stay and details of your Australian business contacts
·proof of your current employment and professional qualifications
·Evidence to prove that your company is an active business, such as an annual report
·Evidence of prior contact with Australian businesses
·Character/health check is not required for visas less than a 12-month period.
·Processing time varies from one week to one month depending on the case
