Permanent Residence (Skilled Regional) Visa (Subclass 191)
This visa is a pathway to permanent residency to candidates on 491 visas, who lived and worked in a regional area for 3 years and have complied with all visa conditions.
· This is a permanent visa and can be lodged inshore or offshore, it has three main streams:
· Point tested
· New-Zealand stream
· Hong Kong stream
· Eligibility Criteria: POINT BASED
· Age must be under 45
· client must have skill occupation listed in MLTSSL (medium- and long-term strategic skill list)
· must possess competent English language proficiency
· must have a positive skill assessment of his nominated occupation from the relevant skill assessing authority as mentioned in the instrument and must not be more than 3 years old.
· Client must score at least pool mark=65 points in total to lodge visa application
· must obtain an invitation from the authority by submitting an EOI in skill select.
New-Zealand stream
· client must hold a subclass 444 visa
· client must be a usual resident in Australia for 5 years straight before lodging application.
· Must have completed 3 years of work at or above the minimum salary rate ($53,990) in last 5 years.
Hong Kong stream
· must apply after 5 March 2022
· must hold either a Hong Kong or British passport
· must hold an eligible subclass 457, subclass 482, or a subclass 485 visa for at least 4 years.
· Client must be a usual resident of Australia for straight 4 years before lodging his application.
